Can't use with water? The silk I got is thick like pudding. I applied it over a primer to block the red in a mahogany piece. It was sanded with 400 grit and wiped with tack cloth and buttery smooth prior to using silk. The silk left little chucks of paint in my piece and had to resand.😢

Love those colors and the 'cloudy' orange tinge you added. Plain little nightstand became so dramatic! I would have probably added some stenciling, but plain paint works nicely as well.
